Andrew Dela Cruz – Owner/Head Coach

Andrew Dela Cruz is the Owner and Head Coach of XIOS Strength & Conditioning, where he leads all in-house athletic performance training with a mission to develop elite, resilient athletes across every level of sport. With over a decade of experience in personal training, sports performance, and competitive coaching, Andrew has built XIOS into one of the Bay Area’s most respected athletic development facilities.
He has coached NCAA athletes across Divisions I, II, and III, prepared players for the NFL Draft, and developed national-level athletes in Olympic weightlifting, including multiple USA Weightlifting National Placers. His proven systems focus on sport-specific development, long-term athletic progress, and complete support for athletes and their families—from training to recruiting guidance.
To date, XIOS athletes have earned over 40 college scholarships across a range of sports. Whether preparing a middle school athlete for their next level, a pro for their next contract, or a national-level lifter for the podium, Andrew’s methodology is built on individualized programming, relentless precision, and a championship mindset.
In addition to his work at XIOS, Andrew currently serves as the Director of Strength & Conditioning for the Bay Area Panthers, helping lead the team to a 2023 IFL National Championship. He also coached at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Trials as a USATF Paralympic Track & Field Coach, and holds a USA Weightlifting National Coach credential.
Andrew’s background as an athlete includes competing at Notre Dame de Namur University in NCAA Division II Cross Country and Track & Field, and holding multiple club records with the Wolfpack Running Club in shot put, discus, javelin, and decathlon.
He’s worked with clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies like Intuit, Adobe, and Google, to elite athletes preparing for national, Olympic, and professional competition.

Crystal Dela Cruz – Operations/Program Manager
Crystal is a dynamic individual whose journey weaves through diverse fields, bringing a wealth of experience to her role at XIOS. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies and Journalism from San Jose State University in 2011, setting the stage for her
multifaceted career.
Her professional journey began with three impactful years at Access Growth, LLC, where she honed her Client Services and Management skills. In this role, Crystal adeptly managed facilities and oversaw the operations of over 60 start-up companies, showcasing her knack for organization and management.
Crystal’s venture into the fitness industry was sparked during her tenure managing City Sports Club facilities in San Jose. The vibrant fitness community left an indelible mark, inspiring her to carve her niche in the wellness space. In 2013, Crystal took the entrepreneurial leap, opening and operating her own meal prep and online coaching company until 2015.
Motivated by the incredible athletes at XIOS, Crystal expanded her horizons, transitioning to training as a Figure competitor in the world of bodybuilding. Undeterred by the challenges of COVID, she dedicated a year to intensive training, leading to her debut at the NPC competition in December 2020. Now, a certified life and mindset coach, Crystal passionately supports athletes and clients in pursuing their purpose with confidence. Her journey is a testament to resilience, determination, and an unwavering commitment to personal growth.

Ashley Dela Cruz – Marketing Assistant
Ashley Dela Cruz is a recent graduate from Sonoma State University and is one-half of our marketing team. She studied Psychology and Business while at SSU and is hoping to grow the XIOS community. She has a background in competitive dance and grew up playing soccer and volleyball. While still trying to figure out what she’s going to pursue, she’s excited to work alongside Andrew, Crystal, and the XIOS team to create a huge platform for the gym.
Samantha Dela Cruz – Marketing Assistant
Samantha is a graduate of the University of Portland with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with minors in Psychology and Political Science. Growing up, Samantha was involved in soccer, volleyball, and dance. Now, Samantha is involved in leadership, nursing, and most importantly, marketing for XIOS. She makes up the other half of the XIOS marketing team and is excited to see where the business will grow while working alongside Andrew, Crystal, and Ashley!
